Launch a coin on a stock. Fees trade it. Holders get paid.

Pick a stock, pick long or short. Your coin's trading fees open a real leveraged perp on that stock, up to 20x on Phoenix. When it closes green, holders get paid in USDC. Everything below is how the code behaves today, including who pays, when a position closes and what happens when it loses.

What Stonks is#

Stonks is a launchpad for stock coins on Solana. You launch a coin on StonkFun paired with a tokenized stock like SPYx, NVDAx or TSLAx, and you call it: long or short, with leverage up to what the venue allows for that stock.

Every trade of your coin pays a creator fee. Stonks routes that fee into a real position on the paired stock. When the position closes in profit, 80% of the realized profit goes to the coin's holders in USDC, pro-rata by balance. When it closes in the red, nobody gets paid. That is the whole loop.

How a launch works#

Launching is free for you. You never send SOL and you never sign a transaction. The platform's dev wallet pays the rent and signs the launch server side; you only sign a short message with a one-time nonce to prove the launch is yours.

  1. 1

    Fill in the coin

Name, ticker, image, optional links, the paired stock, the side and the leverage. The form only offers sides and leverage the stock actually supports.

  2. 2

    Sign the nonce

Your wallet signs a plain message. It costs nothing and authorizes exactly this launch for a short window.

  3. 3

The coin goes live on StonkFun

Stonks creates a standard LaunchLab coin attributed to StonkFun's standard platform, so it shows up on stonkfun.xyz like any other StonkFun launch. 1B supply, priced in the paired stock on a bonding curve.

  4. 4

    Graduation

When the curve fills it migrates into a Raydium CPMM pool and keeps trading there and through Jupiter.

Every coin has its own fee wallet

The pool creator is not you and not a shared platform wallet. It is a fee wallet derived for that one mintfrom a platform master seed, so nothing secret is stored per coin and the address is deterministic. That wallet receives the coin's creator fees and owns its position. Your wallet is recorded as the launcher.

Rate limits

Launches are rate limited per wallet and per IP so the dev wallet is not drained by spam. If the form says to wait, wait.

Paired stocks#

The pair list is StonkFun's live registry of LaunchLab-ready quotes. Stocks come first: xStocks such as SPYx, NVDAx, TSLAx, AAPLx, AMZNx, GOOGLx, METAx, MSFTx, COINx, MSTRx and QQQx. Other StonkFun quotes, SOL included, stay selectable further down.

The pair does two jobs. It is the asset your coin is priced in on the curve, so creator fees arrive in it. It is also the asset the position trades, so what you are betting on is the stock itself.

Creator fees#

A standard LaunchLab launch earns a creator share of the trading fee, paid in the quote asset. The rate is set by StonkFun's platform config, not by Stonks, so it can change without anything here changing.

The keeper handles both ways those fees can arrive:

  • Forwarded.StonkFun forwards the creator share to the pool creator, which is the coin's fee wallet.
  • Claimable. When the coin's creator fee vault holds a balance, the fee wallet signs a claim and drains it.

Either way, any increase of the fee wallet's quote balance since the last check is booked as fees in. The keeper also keeps a small SOL float in each fee wallet (0.01 SOL by default), topped up by the dev wallet, so the wallet can always pay for its own swaps and closes.

The position#

Every 60 seconds by default, each coin gets one keeper tick. Once the fee wallet holds at least $5of idle fees, they are swapped into the venue's collateral and deployed into the coin's long or short at its leverage. New fees top up the open position the same way.

Close ruleWhenDefault
Take profitUnrealized PnL reaches a share of collateral+25%
EpochThe position is older than the max age and shows at least $1.00 profit6 hours
Stop lossPnL falls to a share of collateralOff, the venue's liquidation applies

On close the position settles to USDC. Whatever came back above the collateral is the realized profit; it is swept out of the fee wallet and handed to the payout keeper. Principal stays in the fee wallet and goes back into the next position.

Side and leverage are permanent

They are part of the coin, set at launch. Want the other side? That is a different coin.

Leverage venues#

VenueUsed whenSides and leverage
Phoenix perpsPhoenix lists a market for the paired stockLong and short, up to that market's max leverage per side
Jupiter spotNo perp market existsLong only, 1x: the fees simply buy the asset

Shorts and anything above 1x need a Phoenix Perpetuals market, collateralized in USDC. Big names like NVDA, AAPL, TSLA, GOOGL, MSFT, META, AMZN, SPY and QQQ run up to 20x; AMD, COIN, MSTR, PLTR, HOOD and CRCL up to 10x. Stocks without a market can only be longed at 1x. The launch form reads this per stock from the API and greys out what a stock cannot do, so you cannot launch a position the keeper could never open.

Holder payouts#

Payouts come from realized profit only. Each profitable close splits 80% to holders and 20% to the platform by default (HOLDER_REWARD_SHARE_BPS). Losing positions pay nothing, and nothing is ever taken from holders.

  • Paid in USDC, whatever the paired stock.
  • Pro-rata by balance at a holder snapshot taken when the profit lands.
  • Excluded:the curve and Raydium pool vaults, StonkFun's fee wallet, burn addresses, the coin's own fee wallet and the dev wallet. Balances under 0.01% of supply are treated as dust.
  • Small shares accrue. A transfer is sent once your accrued share is worth $0.25, or $1.50 when the transfer also has to create your USDC account. Until then it is credited and waits.

The $STONKS token#

$STONKS is the platform's own coin. It is pinned first on the board with a Protocol token badge and runs through the same machinery as any other coin. Its contract address is set at runtime, so it appears on the site the moment it exists, without a redeploy. Until then the board says the contract is pending; any address claiming to be $STONKS before that is not.

Verify it on-chain#

Nothing here asks for trust you cannot check:

  • Each coin page shows its fee wallet. Open it on Solscan to see fees in, positions opened and profit swept out.
  • Positions live on Phoenix or as a spot balance in that same wallet, with entry, mark and liquidation prices on the coin page.
  • Payout transfers are regular USDC transfers with signatures in the coin's payout history and on your profile.
  • The coin itself is on StonkFun under the standard platform, tradable there and on Jupiter.

Risks#

  • Leverage can lose the whole position. A liquidation wipes the collateral. The fee wallet keeps collecting and starts over once it clears the deploy minimum again.
  • Losing positions pay nothing. Payouts are never guaranteed, never scheduled and never a yield.
  • Dependencies. StonkFun, Raydium LaunchLab and CPMM, Phoenix, Jupiter, the xStock issuers and Solana itself can all fail, pause or change their fees.
  • Coins are memecoins. They can go to zero regardless of how the stock does.
  • Not financial advice. Nothing on Stonks is an offer of securities or a recommendation.

FAQ#

Who pays for a launch?
The platform dev wallet pays the rent and signs. You sign one message, which costs nothing.
Do creators earn the fees?
No. Creator fees fuel the coin's position, they are not a payout to the launcher. If you hold your own coin you earn like any other holder, nothing more.
What does trading cost?
Whatever StonkFun's LaunchLab config charges on the curve and Raydium charges after graduation. Stonks adds nothing on top and does not promise a fixed creator fee per trade.
When does the first position open?
Once the fee wallet holds $5 of idle fees. Busy coins get there fast, quiet ones may take a while.
Why has my payout not arrived?
Either the position has not closed in profit yet, your share is still accruing below the minimum transfer, your balance was dust at the snapshot, or the transfer is being retried. Your profile shows accrued and paid amounts per coin.
What if the position gets liquidated?
The collateral is gone, holders owe nothing, and the next fees start a fresh position. Not stonks, but not the end.
